If you or your organization cares about clean and affordable energy, join the NW Energy Coalition today. The Coalition is an alliance of over 100 members that include environmental, consumer, civic, and human service organizations; progressive utilities; and energy efficiency and renewable energy businesses from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia. The Coalition's diverse and active membership make it one of the Northwest's most influential public-interest voices on energy policy.

We can choose to rely on dirty and risky fossil fuels or to invest in cost-effective energy efficiency, renewable technologies, and assisting low-income families so that they do not have to choose between heating and eating.

Now is the time to choose a clean and affordable energy future. The decisions we make today will affect the future of literally generations of rate payers.

Organizational membership

The Coalition is regionally and nationally known for advocating sustainable energy policies and strengthening individual member groups by supporting them with the full political weight of the Coalition’s membership. Member groups help further the mission of the Coalition by adding diversity and strength.

Individual membership

An individual wishing to support the Coalition is eligible to be an individual member. Individual members are eligible for positions on the Board of Directors and may vote in their state or regional caucus in which they reside and are eligible for the benefits below.

Membership benefits include:

• The ability to influence Coalition policies and positions
• Subscription to your state's email listserv
• Technical assistance from policy staff, organizing support from outreach and communications staff and individual assistance from the staff liaison to your state Caucus
• The opportunity to build alliances with Coalition members around the region
• Email subscription to the Energy Coalition's monthly policy journal, The Transformer
• One copy of each issue of the Energy Coalition's membership newsletter, The Energy Activist
• Access to and use of NWEC materials, including policy papers, outreach materials, and press packets
